As of December 2, the China-Laos Railway has transported 24.2 million passengers and 29.1 million tons of cargo, including over 6 million tons of cross-border goods. The cargo transportation has extended its reach to 12 countries participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative (BRI), significantly enhancing the efficient circulation of passengers, goods, and information along the route. The China-Laos Railway’s effect as a golden corridor is increasingly prominent, injecting new vitality into the economic and social development of regions along the route.
