This year, the stable economic development in Xinjiang has fueled a continuous demand for materials such as coal, cotton, fertilizers, and metal ores. As of December 8, the railway freight volume in Xinjiang for the year has reached 200.1 million tons.

CR-Urumqi has intensified production analysis regarding the transportation of coal and other bulk materials, signing annual agreement volumes with 32 strategic enterprises inside and outside Xinjiang, totaling 169 million tons, representing a 10.5% increase compared to the previous year. They have closely monitored coal transportation, implemented seasonal mutual guarantee agreements, and developed logistic transportation plans based on key stages such as peak demand and seasonal variations as well as the transportation of Xinjiang coal into Sichuan and other regions. Focusing on the performance of long-term transportation agreements, they strengthened the organization of the supply chain and allocation of transportation capacity, prioritizing the transportation of contracted coal, to ensure the transportation needs of key materials.

While ensuring the supply of coal within Xinjiang, CR-Urumqi has organized the operation of open-car and open-top container coal special trains between regions under the jurisdiction of different railway authorities. By adjusting the operation routes of freight trains, they are providing support for the supply of coal to Qinghai, Gansu, and other regions. As of now, CR-Urumqi has shipped 121 million tons of coal this year, marking a 5.38% year-on-year increase. Among these, outbound coal from Xinjiang reached 51.54 million tons, indicating an 8.4% year-on-year increase.
