On November 30 at 15:30, the double-track automatic block signaling transformation between Yuzhoudi Railway Station and Pingdingmiao Railway Station on the Jining-Tongliao Railway was completed. This marks the official operation of the newly constructed Linxi Railway Station, a significant enhancement to the coal transportation corridor from Inner Mongolia to Eastern China, boosting the operational capacity of the railway.

The newly operational Linxi Railway Station, located in the jurisdiction of Linxi County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, is the largest newly constructed station in the electrification transformation of the Jining-Tongliao Railway. Starting construction in September 2022, the station features a streamlined design with an “upstairs boarding and downstairs exiting” layout, consisting of an above-ground passenger waiting hall and an underground passenger exit passage. The ground level connects to the square, which has a parking lot with 104 parking spaces, adequately meeting the travel needs of the people in the Linxi area. The station has 2 platforms with 6 tracks, providing an annual passenger capacity of 100,000 people. The station building covers an area of 4,500 square meters, and the waiting hall is 1,776 square meters, accommodating up to 1,500 people waiting simultaneously.

The double-track automatic block signaling transformation from Yuzhoudi Railway Station to Pingdingmiao Railway Station, spanning a total length of 52 kilometers, is a crucial project to break through the bottleneck of the Jining-Tongliao Railway’s operational capacity. During the construction process, the railway authority and construction units overcame adverse factors such as weather conditions, strengthened transportation organization, strictly implemented safety control measures, and assigned professional forces to focus on key operations and safety protection. They meticulously organized the testing and acceptance of professional equipment and safety assessments, comprehensively optimizing and adjusting systems such as track conditions and communication signals.
