On November 29 at 18:30, the X2001 CRE train, carrying goods such as electromechanical products and auto parts, departed from Horgos Port, heading to Malaszewicze, Poland. This marks a significant milestone as Horgos Port has surpassed the 7,000 CRE train mark for the year, achieving this feat 31 days earlier than the previous year.

Throughout this year, CR-Urumqi has actively integrated into the construction of Xinjiang’s “One Port, Two Districts, Five Major Centers, and Port Economic Belt,” continuously enhancing the quality and efficiency of CRE train operations. As of now, the number of CRE trains passing through Horgos Port and Alataw Pass has exceeded 13,000, providing strong support for the construction of the core area of the “Belt and Road” Initiative (BRI).

With the increasing influence of the “Golden Channel,” many sources of goods have shifted to rail transport. This year, Horgos Port has seen a noticeable increase in the volume of new energy vehicles. Domestic brands such as GWM and Chery export their cars through Horgos Port to countries along the BRI, including Russia and Kazakhstan. As a crucial hub for the western route of the CRE trains, Horgos Port continues to enhance its port capacity, achieving growth in the number of CRE trains and port throughput. As of now, the cumulative number of CRE trains passing through Horgos Port has exceeded 32,000, with the monthly operation staying consistently above 600 trains for the past eight months.
